Fieldtrips later this spring
Wolds Churches
Our next fieldtrip will be to visit Wolds Churches, on Sunday 23 May, 10.30am - 4.00pm. Richard Myerscough will lead this joint visit with the Ryedale Vernacular Building Materials Research Group, starting from Rudston Church and ending at Wharram-le-Street. Bring packed lunch and wear stout footwear. Cost: £5.00 per head. Book via the PLACE Office.
Chapel House Wood, Wharfedale
Roger Martlew will lead this joint event with the Yorkshire Dales Landscape Research Trust. It will take place on Saturday 19 June, 10.30am to 4.00pm. Meet at the lay-by on the B6160 (grid ref: SD 978653) and bring packed lunch. The focus will be on prehistoric archaeological remains, including settlements and field systems. Walking steep, through pasture fields. Cost: £5.00 per head. Book via the PLACE Office.
